On Tuesday, a 40-year-old doctor allegedly caused a 15-year-old boy’s death due to negligence. However, the exact cause of death has not been ascertained by the autopsy report. The Gautam Budh Police identified the suspect as Dr. Alam, who runs a small clinic in Sarfabad village, and stated that the man had been on the run since Monday after he treated the boy for a stomach ache, who later died due to an unknown cause on Sunday. According to the boy’s uncle, the boy complained of a severe stomachache, following which they took the boy to the accused, where he gave him some injections and asked them to go home. He added that after some time, the patient’s pain increased and became unbearable. Hence, the boy was then taken to a private hospital, then to the district hospital in Sector 30, where he was declared dead.

According to Mr. Sharad Kant, station house officer of Sector 113 police station, based on the family’s complaint, an FIR has been registered against Dr. Alam under Section 304(a) (causing death due to negligence) at the police station. He further added that as the suspect is on the run, teams have been deployed to nab him. He also added that the body has been sent for an autopsy and that the suspect has been running the clinic for the past year. The police team will look into his degrees to check if the accused is running an illegal clinic.
